With regards to Australia…

I was disheartened to see so many places in Brisbane that I recognised taken down under the torrent of brown water. An absolute crying shame, it has to be said.

Flights to Australia, more specifically: flights to Brisbane are now up and running again. The whole country’s been in turmoil with flooding in the North East and forest fires in the South West, but hopefully the disasters are just blips in the time-line of down unda.

You never stop to think that global warming could just start wiping out places that we love without a second thought. “Ice caps melting” is one thing - “Europe’s underwater” is another altogether. It’s impossible to relate to something so far away with which you have no ties, but things like this make it all the more real.

My heart goes out to them.
